The Amazing Grays is a group of adults 55 years and older. They socialize on a regular basis and enjoy one another’s fellowship while having fun.
There are also two different adult Sunday School classes to attend on Sunday mornings.
ADULTS:
Adults, of any age group, can attend Sunday School class on Sunday morning and participate in various activities held throughout the year. It is also this age group that volunteers for many service projects in and around the church such as yard work, repairs, preparing meals or being youth leaders.
HIGH SCHOOL:
There are groups and activities, both local and regionally, directed toward high school age youth known as CYF. They have opportunities to participate in an IAS (International Affair Seminar) trip annually, Regional Mission trips, and participation in summer camps at our own Camp Tawakoni in Augusta KS. High School youth are encouraged to serve as Junior Deacons at our weekly worship service as well as share any other talents to enhance worship.
MIDDLE SCHOOL:
There are groups and activities for youth that are Middle School age and referred to as CHI RHO. They have opportunities to attend summer camp at our own Camp Tawakoni as well as participating in local service projects. There is a puppet ministry, Palms of Praise, they can be involved with which performs in worship service for children’s moment or other places throughout the region. The youth can also volunteer to be a part of our weekly worship service by reading scripture or sharing their musical talent.
PRE-SCHOOL AGE AND ELEMENTARY AGE:
On Wednesday nights, children from age 4 years through 5th grade gather to participate in ROCK SOLID KIDZ. This is a time that volunteers nurture and teach children in a variety of ways. The evening starts with a light meal, followed by 4 different age groups attending their own bible study class. The children then split their time between crafts and music before being dismissed with a snack in hand. These children perform singing or bells in our worship service on a regular basis. They do not meet during the summer months.
DMF:
Disciples Men Fellowship is men who meet for fellowship, worship and education on the fifth Monday throughout the year with other men in the Region. They attend annual retreats and work days locally and regionally.
BIBLE STUDY GROUP:
Each Wednesday night, an adult bible study is led my Rev John Gran from 6:00 – 7:00PM.
MUSIC:
There are several opportunities to share your musical talents. We have a Sanctuary Choir, Bell Choir, Praise Team Singers and Band to be involved with or perform on your own as a Special Music presentation.
